Master-This-CommanderThis beautifully-kept, gleaming fiberglass (she’s NOT a woodie!), extraordinarily live-able and proven cruise-able Chris-Craft 47 Commander is looking for a new master and crew!

This is a MUST SELL SOON situation. The price has been drastically reduced and the seller will consider all offers.

She’s been stored under cover throughout her life and has been maintained professionally and lovingly for 30 years by the same owner – and it shows. She’s well-equipped with rebuilt twin GM Detroit diesels, a tremendous salon, great galley, three comfortable cabins and a magnificent bridgedeck that provides a spectacularly commanding view.

Regal-Boating2…to boat regally AND frugally in this 2007 Regal Bowrider!

Purchased new in 2008 this trailerable 27’ vessel has been treated like royalty in its own heated garage. The interior and exterior appear blemish free. Extremely low engine hours and low usage have kept her in nearly new condition. Even the paper barcode decals remain on the zincs!

This Regal 2700 was ordered with every option available beyond the already extensive standard equipment list. A 2013 model equipped similarly has an MSRP of $100K. This luxurious Regal is fit for a KING but is affordable for a commoner.

Making the Decision

April 8, 2014

Fred-&-Stephanie-BlogIt’s always interesting to peek into the decision-making process behind a boat purchase. Different buyers have different criteria, which explains the wide variety of boats for sale. Seldom have we seen a selection made with such thought and deliberate care as that made by Fred and Stephanie Kaufhold. Fred retired as an officer in the US Navy, and then his time on the water began in earnest. Fred and Stephanie purchased a world-cruising sailboat in England and then sailed and lived aboard for 25 years, finally arriving in the Pacific Northwest. Enroute they’ve worked as delivery captain and crew for countless yachts of all types up and down the US east coast. So it can fairly be said that they know their way around boats.

In thinking about their desire to continue boating as they age Fred and Stephanie defined their ideal “Geriatric Trawler”. It would be:

  • 34-38 foot sedan or pilothouse trawler because they wanted to downsize from their large sailboat and because they wanted big windows and a relatively shallow draft
  • Less than 10 years old for less major maintenance and to have more recent electronics
  • If a pilothouse (with its primary advantage of access doors port and starboard) then full walk-around decks and all around visibility from the pilothouse were important
  • If a sedan (with its primary advantage of full walk-around decks, high bulwarks and covered side decks) then easy access from the dock would be important
  • If there were a flybridge (optional) it would have to be accessed safely — no vertical ladder. And it would not have a full enclosure to reduce windage and maintenance
  • Single stateroom to provide more room in a smaller boat
  • No exterior brightwork for less maintenance
  • Ample swim step for easy access and dinghy deployment
  • Single engine propulsion (with bow thruster for maneuverability) to provide a protective keel and skeg mounted rudder and to provide ample room in the engineroom for all-around engine access
  • Ample handholds on deck and in the cabin for safety
  • Economical cruising speed of 8 knots, but with a top speed of 15 knots.

A long list of “musts” and “wants”. They found only four models that could respond to these criteria and settled on a Helmsman Trawlers 37 Sedan in its single stateroom version. But — alas and with some despair — no used models were available on the west coast. So Waterline Boats helped them purchase one in Annapolis and they shipped it to Seattle!

Needless to say Fred and Stephanie are excited about their new boat after planning and searching for so long, and they look forward to many happy years of cruising ahead. Having searched with such well-defined criteria this pre-owned Helmsman Trawlers® fits them perfectly!

Out-of-this-worldNot only is this Neptune 41 Ketch Out of This World, but she is a proven heavy-duty long range cruiser that has also Traveled The World!

This vessel has been maintained professionally and sailed extensively from the UK, Mediterranean, Atlantic, US East Coast, Caribbean, US West Coast, PNW to Alaska by one couple for the past 32 years! The Neptune is Dutch-designed and English-built to Lloyd’s 100A1 (1979) requirements and still appears in Bristol condition. Her interior consists of beautifully rich teak throughout, charming custom ceramic tile, light colored upholstery/headliner and larger above deck windows that keep it lighter, brighter and more liveable than most sailboats of this size and vintage. There are six berths with one double and four singles in three cabins. The master stateroom is aft to port with a full size double berth, head/shower and small seating area. Both heads are fresh water, quiet flush electric heads.

She is a fiberglass sailboat with a long keel, teak main deck, aluminum masts, Lewmar two speed self-tailing winches, new 2013 roller furling inner forestay and so much more!!! This is a world cruiser that King Neptune himself would endorse!

What--P540100 GRAND! That’s hard to believe… It’s also hard to believe just how GRAND this 2002 Bracewell Pacesetter 540 is! This yacht is a great value and a must see!

The Pacesetter 540 is a luxurious three stateroom yacht with an innovative design and use of space that provides more comfortable, liveable volume than most 58 – 60 foot vessels. The location of the galley and dinette in the pilothouse and their proximity to the salon allows excellent visibility, a wonderful flow of light and easy entertaining. The beautifully crafted cherry and birdseye maple cabinetry is a Bracewell signature and can be seen in just about every space on this vessel.

Safety is also at the forefront of the design and construction. Side decks are all around with practically-placed handrails and guardrails. There’s a roomy foredeck, spacious enclosed cockpit and a sturdy swim platform with safety staples.

The Pacesetter 540 cruises comfortably and quietly up to 20 knots, with great visibility from the forward-positioned pilothouse at all speeds. She performs well and quite economically  at trawler speed of10 knots. The engineroom is full standing and the dinghy garage is just cool!
